Campaign Commitment to Health and Safety
As a former nurse, Sangeetha takes the commitment to following all protocols for community health and safety seriously during the COVID-19 pandemic. Physical distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitizer and wipes, as well as temperature checks will be a part of any in-person event. Thank you for following these guidelines along with her.

Challenger candidates kick off early voting with a rally at Prospect Park
Early voting started on Friday, March 12, at the Rock Island County Clerk's office and Sangeetha, Matt, James, and Alvaro invited the public to learn about the process and about their candidacies. We had a great turnout! Moline residents are ready for a change of leadership!
Sangeetha for Mayor celebrates International Women's Day with a supply drive for World Relief- Moline
On Sunday, March 7, Sangeetha Rayapati, James Patrick Schmidt, and Matt Timion greeted supporters at a drive-by supply drive to benefit our community partner, World Relief. Diapers and hygeine products were in plentiful supply by the end!
Chili For Change Fundraiser benefits Riverbend Food Bank as well as Candidates
On Sunday, Jan. 31, Sangeetha and candidates for city council, Matt Timion, Alvaro Macias, and James Patrick Schmidt, joined a successful fundraiser with supporters who want to see change in Moline government. Attendees brought food donations for Riverbend Food Bank, an amazing community partner. It was wonderful to give back to an organization that gives so much!
First Community Circle of 2021 Scheduled

This circle will be conducted in English AND Spanish. Share your thoughts and concerns about the city of Moline and what you'd like to see in your town. Bring a lawn chair and a mask for a safe, physically distanced discussion about issues that matter to you.

Faith Leaders Community Circle
Our faith communities in Moline are partners in serving citizens. If you are or know a faith leader, please join me or share this event and help me understand what your congregations are doing and what you see still needs to be done to meet needs in our city. Bring a camp chair, your morning coffee, and whatever comfy thing you need to stay warm. I'll have hand warmers with me to keep us comfortable.
Park Partners Pitch-In Event Makes an Impact
On Sunday, October 4, Sangeetha met with supporters at Riverside Park Cemetery to help clean up the grass around headstones and get caught up on maintenance. Severe seasonal personnel shortages and the derecho clean up had backed up work. Many Moliners help keep our parks beautiful. Let's plan for leadership change that values this work and budgets appropriately.
